Yes, another Hot Rod. When I found a picture of the Auto Union 1000S Coupé last week, the resulting image was already complete in my brain. It just had to be created and this is exactly what I did during the lunch breaks this week. What you see below is a rather traditional looking Hot Rod, but based on a car nobody would ever think of hot rodding – mainly because the engine type and drivetrain layout heavily speak against it. My school of thought is that everything made from metal can be altered and therefore it is theoretically possible to put a carburated V8 into the RWD-converted chassis. The tube frame ensures rigidity and ties front and rear axles together for improved handling. The roof has been treated to a top chop and the bulging rear fender skirts have been replaced with inverted items that make room for the larger tires sitting outbord.
