Em 2012 projetei um BAJA Concept baseado no Volkswagen New Beetle e no Hummer HX. Foi uma coisa divertida de fazer e brinquei com a ideia de construí-lo como um modelo em escala 1:24 a partir de um kit Tamiya. Isto nunca aconteceu nos doze anos seguintes – mas há duas semanas recebi uma mensagem de Markus Deimling. Markus é CEO da STRIKE Brasil e pediu minha permissão para construir esse design – renderizado em escala 1:1. Ele estará exposto no estande da Agrishow 2024, em Ribeirão Preto. A STRIKE Brasil construiu o carro em tempo recorde e estou genuinamente impressionado com o trabalho artesanal da equipe. In 2012 I designed a BAJA Concept based on Volkswagen New Beetle and Hummer HX. It was just a fun thing to do and I played around with the idea of building it as a 1:24 scale model from a Tamiya kit. This never happened in the twelve years since – but two weeks ago I received a message from Markus Deimling. Markus is the CEO of STRIKE Brasil and asked for my permission to build this design – render to reality in 1:1 scale. It will be displayed at their Agrishow 2024 booth in Ribeirão Preto. STRIKE Brasil built the car in record time and I am genuinely impressed by the craftsmanship of the team. I’m looking forward to seeing the finished vehicle being unveiled this weekend and am very proud of the achievement.
